The Huawei SmartAX MA5633 is a distributed converged cable access platform (D-CCAP) coaxial media converter (CMC) device.It is designed for broadcast and television operators to transition traditional Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial (HFC) networks into digital, high-bandwidth bi-directional networks. By pushing fiber deeper into the network, it allows operators to provide Gigabit-grade services over existing coaxial cables.
